I have used the same gift bags I got at least 15 or more years ago (and tissue about as old as that) but they have seen better days. I really like those pillowcases and your other ideas for recycled/sustainable wrapping. I tried to have plastic-free ornaments this year so I gave away all but a handful of sentimental ornaments and instead crocheted a lot of ornaments, put bits of old lace from curtains inside tiny hoops, and embroidered felt birds and gingerbread men, etc. Also going to make popcorn and dried oranges into garlands which after the holidays will go on the pine trees surrounding our apartment.
